Prakash Trading Company, founded in 1945, is a family owned business which was started by Late Mr. Laxman Vishnu Bedekar. "Prakashche Makyache Tel”, hereafter in this website referred as Prakash Maka Oil, was launched in 1958 and has since then been a favorite among its loyal customers for the last 60 years.

Late Mr. Laxman Vishnu Bedekar, being a freedom fighter, always insisted on using local Indian ingredients only and was a staunch believer of Ayurveda. Back in the 1940s, he had a unique idea of having a multipurpose medicinal oil, which could be used for many problems related to stress and hair fall, which more and more people around had started facing. He studied Ayurveda books, consulted Ayurvedic doctors at the time, experimented with different combinations and finally came up with this unique combination of 12 active Ayurvedic herbs with different medicinal properties with a pure coconut oil base, to address these problems.

Since then, Prakash Maka Oil, became a household name. It is only because of its quality, effectiveness and value for money, Prakash Maka Oil, has stayed in the market for more than 60 years and still continues to deliver excellent results.
